With components of our pictorial world, which is marked by press and advertising photographs as well as by films, Manuel constructs a completely new, poetic vision of our social life. Being a collector and commentator he uses fragments, like details from simple photographs or still photographs from films, and puts them into a new context - thus demonstrating the instability of pictorial systems.
