If you choose to pay by credit card, please chose your type of "credit card" in our checkout – step "SECURE PAYMENT" and enter your credit card data on our payment site. Artsation.com uses the state-of-the-art server security software GEO TRUST with SSL encryption, which provides a safe and bug-proof transmission of your credit card data. The order amount will be deposited on your card as a reservation payment until your order has either been sent (then the amount will be charged) or cancelled (then the amount will be released).
Security SSL technology
Digital security systems ensure the encrypted transmission of your personal data. Furthermore, technical measures protect our website against damages, destruction or unauthorized access. The SSL connection (Secure Socket Layer) provides a safe transmission of your personal data, including credit and account information. The encrypted data is only deciphered when used by the payment system. This means that all credit card information (numbers, expiry dates etc) will be handled with an encrypted protocol automatically to ensure that neither artsation GmbH, nor third parties have access to this information. This credit card information will only be used again after purchase transaction in the case of eventual refunds.
The relevant currency is determined by your location: Payments as well as refunds for shipments to Great Britain are invoiced in Pound Sterling (GBP). Payments as well as refunds for shipments to the US, Canada, and Mexico are invoiced in US dollar (USD). Payments as well as refunds for shipments to all the other countries are invoiced in Euro (EUR).
1. Shipping methods and delivery costs
Shipping options through shipping partners of artsation GmbH
If you would like to use the services of one of artsation GmbH's shipping partners, you will get offers by at least one of our partners 1-2 working days after your purchase. Should none of the offers suit your taste for whatever reason, you can always assign your own shipping partner at any time. Due to the diversities of shipping regulations, distances, possible custom fees and/or size of the purchased items please understand that prices can vary greatly, thus each shipping offer has to be individual.
Shipping through a shipping partner of your choice
Should you be familiar with art transportation and already work with your own logistic partner, you can always choose to handle shipment with your own transport provider. In this case we will provide you and/or your shipping partner with the necessary information concerning the local pickup, times etc. to assure a quick and swift handling.
2. Shipping and Insurance
The goods are insured during transport against theft and accidental damage. Once you have taken your delivery receipt and confirmed by your signature, the insurance cover expires.
The artwork is ready to ship usually within 14 days after receipt of full payment and agreeing to the terms of delivery. Please understand that we will not deliver art to Mailboxes.
Customs duties and taxes within the European Union
No additional taxes or customs duties are charged for articles that are shipped within the European Union. The articles’ prices and shipping costs include VAT and are thus listed as gross prices. Customs duties and taxes in terms of non-European countries
In case of shipments that are made to non-European countries, no VAT is charged. As soon as the articles arrive at the destination, sales tax on imports as well as customs duties and handling costs will be determined by the respective customs office. By submitting your order you undertake to guarantee the import of the respective articles by paying and/or delivering the necessary information. Please be aware that import regulations vary from country to country.
