Andreas Schulzes artistic work refers to a post-industrial world. Thereby his visualizations are out of time in an interesting way. His idiosyncratic, large-size, coloured paintings show mostly prospectively constructed views of rooms and interiors. Serene and playful and at the same time with a sometimes sharp criticism Schulze's art resembles a Dadaistic concept with surreal components. Schulze studied from 1976 to 1983 at the painting classes of the comprehensive university Kassel and of the academy of arts Düsseldorf (with Dieter Krieg). Since 2009 he is professor at the academy of arts Düsseldorf.
