The Swiss artist Daniele Buetti was born in 1955 in Fribourg. In his most recent photographic works he exhibits disturbing, mutated close-ups of beautiful young women. On their skin, signs and lettering can be seen protruding like tumors. Buetti "tattoos" names of luxury brands and American mega corporations with small pinpricks on the backside of the photographs. His works play with the idea of consumer-driven branding in an ironic way to illustrate how some of these literally get under ones skin.
