Glaukopos

With his work Glaukopos (2009) (220 x 195 cm) Belgian artist Marcel Berlanger creates a naturalistic rendering of an owl but ironically disrupts it by circumcising the motif and emphasizing the raster screen. Considering his aesthetic choices one might almost take the picture for a mug shot. Some of Berlanger’s work is already part of the collections of various Belgian and French museums.

2013 he was exhibited at the Venice Biennale.
