Black Sand IV

Valentinaki, born in Riga in 1985, cultivated her passion for art from an early age. After graduating in economics, she decided to devote herself to her artistic nature studying choreography. Quickly became a teacher, choreographer and judge for major international competitions; she is also working with a dance team, for whom designs many choreographies and with whom she performs on the most prestigious stages of Latvia.
Always eager to learn about new cultures and looking for new inspiration, Valentinaki decides to move to Italy where, arrived in 2009,she dedicated to the world of fashion. At the same time, she continues her artistic career refining her techniques of figurative painting under the wise guidance of the Florentine painter Giusy Boncinelli.
Gradually her style moves towards the abstract painting and it’s with this technique that she reached her upmost inspiration. Valentinaki starts to communicate through her works extremely contemporary themes and concepts using different materials, a mix of optical effects, colors, lights, shadows and natural objects.
