Champions of Tolerance - His Holiness Pope Francis, Triptychon

The triptychon is part of the art-project "Champions & the Art of Tolerance". It portrays well-known people and the unsung, hidden champions who were fighting for tolerance and respect towards other religions, ethnical minorities and races.
The pictures were taken at the Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv in 2014 during Pope Francis historical first visit to Israel.

Tom Lemke is an international photographer who was working e.g. for the german newspapers Die Zeit, Stern and Süddeutsche Zeitung. He had exhibitions in New York, Düsseldorf, Berlin, Amsterdam and Zürich.

Hubertus Hoffmann is president of the World Security Network Foundation and the founder of the initiatives "Champions of Tolerance" and "Codes of Tolerance".

"Together, we can bring about an unprecedented age of peace, all we need to achieve such a state is respect each other beliefs, for we are all children of God regardless of the name we choose to address him by."
