The paintings and graphics of the American artist Peter Halley are reduced geometrical compositions. Halley creates his works as self-contained systems of contrasting colour fields that remind of wiring schemes or technical diagrams. Many interpreters think they are commentaries on the social environment in the media age and on predominant structures, constriction and serialization. The artist himself never confirmed those statements though the approach seems not completely unfounded.
