Sleeping Houses (silver, black or white)

Not Vital was born in Sent, Switzerland in 1948. His central artistic theme is the natural cycle of birth and death. The 80 centimetres high object "Sleeping Houses" from 2010 represents a miniature version of the ten-meter high conical sculpture, that the artist had designed for the Museum der Moderne in Salzburg the year before. The sleeping house moved mechanically to the rhythm of awaken and sleeping humans. The work shown here is made in six different, bright colors.
