Heart

Not Vital was born in Sent, Switzerland in 1948. His central artistic theme is the natural cycle of birth and death. Since the 80s, his interest is primarily the design of three-dimensional works made of materials like gold, stone, plaster, wood and salt. The sculptural bronze work of "Heart“ (2007) is in this sense a typical vital work.
By casting natural objects like this heart organ in bronze, they gain a new meaning, a clearer substantive value and a new, different kind of appreciation.
