The nude pictures of Marilyn Monroe were like a springboard for the then just 25-year old Lawrence Schiller, a fact that he was very aware of. The versatile photographer would have had an impressive artistic career even without this prestigious push, but the Marilyn pictures became iconic. They are the last ever made photographs of Marilyn Monroe before she died shortly after in August 1962.
