The Schaustelle programme starts on April 13th, 6PM with a sound Installation "Hörstück": Sound artist David von Westphalen stages the voices of all those people who accompanied the Pinakothek der Moderne during the last ten years of it’s existance. Live band "Oton", whose band members are all artists, will welcome the visitors. Moreover, from 13 to 22 April the world’s biggest walk-in instant camera will be displayed and can be used for full-size pictures.

The Pinakothek der Moderne will be closed for structural work from 25 February 2013, provisionally until September 2013. This temporary closure of the world-renowned building that houses four museums, is being seized on as a unique opportunity. With the SCHAUSTELLE (»Show Site«), the Pinakothek der Moderne is creating a new venue for the four independent collections of modern art, graphic art, architecture and design. The Pinakothek der Moderne and the Schaustelle, have been designed by the internationally renowned, award-winning architect Jürgen Mayer H.
