The New York artist Donald Baechler from Hartford, Conneticut, (born1956) is a painter, graphic artist and sculptor. In emphasized motive collages with succinct colour death's-heads, horses and flowers seem sign-like, appear in many series. They stand before another layer with quotations from graphic arts, childish signs and photos. The permanent change of technologies lifts the separation of graphic arts, painting and collage.
