Thomas Demand - Biography

Thomas Demand is one of the most exciting current artists in Germany. In his work Demand deals with photographs of historical significant places, which he reconstructs using paper and cardboard just so that he can destroy them shortly afterwards. His temporary works get photographed before he destroys them and so they become part of the collective imagery of our time.
