A European collector have "King Ottokar's Sceptre" from the "Tintin" series bought for 1.046 million euros at an auction in Paris a double page of the band, said the auction house Artcurial. The estimate had stood at 600,000 to 800,000 euros.
The Artcurial expert Eric Leroy spoke of an "excellent result". In October, a collector had even paid for a double page of the same band at an auction at Sotheby's in Paris more than 1.5 million euros.
