Bettina Nuschei - Biography

Born in Graz artist Bettina Nuschei completed her studies in Rome and New York. After spending a year in Venezuela in 1980, she worked in the Factory of Andy Warhol utnil 1981. From 1981 - 1987 the artist lived in Paris and became deeply involved with abstract impressionism. For seven years ( 1991-1998 ) Bettina Nuschei worked and lived in Munich. While in the Bavarian capital she completed her cycles CORPORE and LYRIC ABSTRACTS. Since 1998, the artist lives in Mallorca. Fonts and texts are one of the reoccurring elements in her work and is also present in the works currently available on Artsation. In synaesthetic manner Bettina Nuschei manages to combine music and poetry in her work and captivates it on canvas.

In her most recent works (Letter Hyper Graphic " ideogram ", 2015) , the previously often only abstractly existing font is becoming a three dimensional relief. With her current work Bettina Nuschei succeeds in creating an amalgam of abstract expressionism and cool minimalistic aesthetic.
