Ohne Titel (Fenster Prinzregentenstrasse)

Andreas Schulze studied from 1976 to 1983 at the painting class of the comprehensive university Kassel and - with Dieter Krieg - at the academy of arts Düsseldorf, where he teaches as a professor himself since 2009. His motifs come from a post-industrial world. He paints in strong colours smooth and simplified shapes of everyday life objects and arranges them in perspective contexts. Thus he creates a seemingly serene, playful imagery which can be understood as a biting comment in a Dadaistic-surrealistic sense - as an altogether idiosyncratic visualization of thoughts, which is out of time in an interesting way.
