Collider

Born in Sweden in 1974, Magnus Thorén seems to take inspiration for his work from the exuberant wealth of fierce and gloomy sagas and the vigorous force of nordic mythology, an abyss seemingly lurks behind the artist's blurry, semi-figurative painting. His figures are often in abeyance, somewhere between ascension and downfall. Magnus Thorén has gone a step further with his work Collider, the ghostly figures don't float anymore, they have reached their destination which is neither ascension nor downfall but a collision of the two.
